Terms · Draft · Pre-release
Terms of service, published early and honestly.
What do these terms cover?
Two things: the static pages on kaupvik.com, and Kaupvik Quick Order, the Shopify app that turns a wholesale SKU list into a reviewed Shopify draft order for the merchant team. This is a draft published during pre-release, and it will be reviewed and finalised before the Shopify App Store listing opens.
Scope and status
What is covered, and where the product stands.
What these terms cover
- The marketing pages published on kaupvik.com.
- Use of Kaupvik Quick Order, when the app is installed on your store.
- The email support route described on the support page.
Where the product stands
- Pre-release: no public Shopify App Store listing exists yet.
- The merchant team workflow is built and demonstrable in a development store.
- The buyer self-serve cart path is in validation and is not available to merchants.
Availability, as is. The app is provided as it stands while it is pre-release. Features may change, break or be withdrawn, and no uptime level, response time or availability percentage is promised. There is no service level agreement attached to these terms.
Your side of the arrangement
What you remain responsible for as the merchant.
- Your Shopify store and its settings. Catalog, inventory, company locations, staff permissions and B2B configuration are yours to maintain.
- Pricing, taxes, shipping and payment terms. Shopify calculates these for the selected company location. Kaupvik does not set, override or advise on them.
- Reviewing before you create. A draft order is created only after a person confirms the reviewed lines, so check lines, quantities and company location first.
- The lists you import. Only import data you have the right to use, and leave out customer information the app does not need.
- Staff access. Decide which staff may use the app. Kaupvik does not grant permissions Shopify has not granted.
Acceptable use
Do not use the website or the app to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- attempt to access stores, accounts or data you are not authorised to use;
- probe, scan or overload the app, or work around its access and permission model;
- resell, sublicense or rebrand the app, or offer it as your own product;
- upload data you do not have the right to process, including another company's customer lists.
Fees
The first release is planned to be free. Later pricing is undecided.
The first release of Kaupvik Quick Order is planned to be free while real merchant use is validated. That is a plan rather than a price promise, and it can change before the listing opens. Pricing for later versions has not been decided, and nothing on this site commits Kaupvik to a price, a free tier or a discount.
Your own charges from Shopify, and any third-party services you use, remain your responsibility and are billed to you directly. If a version charges a fee, the price and what it covers will be stated before you install or upgrade, not after.
Intellectual property
Who owns what.
- Kaupvik owns the website, the app, its interface and its brand. These terms grant a limited right to use the app, not ownership of it.
- You own your store data. Products, customers, companies, orders and lists stay yours, and Kaupvik claims no ownership over them.
- What Kaupvik may do with your data is limited to running the workflow you asked for: matching lines, showing the context and creating the draft order you confirmed. The privacy notice describes this in detail.
Third-party platforms
Shopify is not a party to these terms.
- Shopify is not a party to these terms and has not endorsed, certified or reviewed them.
- Your agreement with Shopify governs your store, your plan and the platform itself, and Shopify's own terms apply to your use of it.
- You remain responsible for your Shopify settings, taxes, pricing and payment terms, and for the orders and draft orders in your store.
- The app depends on Shopify's APIs, and on hosting and database services. A change, outage or restriction on their side can affect the app.
Limitation of liability
The limits of what Kaupvik is answerable for.
These terms are a draft, and the wording below will be reviewed and finalised with legal advice before the App Store listing opens. In plain language, the position is this:
- The website and the app are provided as they stand, without warranties beyond those the law does not allow to be excluded.
- Kaupvik is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profit, lost orders or lost goodwill arising from use of a pre-release app.
- Kaupvik is not liable for decisions taken in your store: pricing, taxes, shipping, payment terms, what you confirm in the review workspace, or what happens to a draft order afterwards.
- Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes, governing law and contact
How these terms change, and how to reach us.
These terms will be finalised before the public launch. They are reviewed when the app, the website or the Shopify requirements change, and any material change is reflected here with the date below updated with it.
Governing law. These draft terms do not name a jurisdiction. The terms will name a governing jurisdiction before the App Store listing opens, so that merchants know where a dispute would be handled rather than reading a placeholder.
Questions about these terms: email hello@kaupvik.com. Product help and data requests: support@kaupvik.com. Security concerns go to the general mailbox with the subject "Security". The contact page explains which mailbox to use.

Questions merchants ask
Availability, pricing and what a draft order means.
Is Kaupvik Quick Order available in the Shopify App Store?
Not yet. The app is pre-release: the merchant team workflow is built and demonstrable in a development store, and this site invites merchants to contact Kaupvik about early access.
How is Quick Order priced?
Quick Order V1.0–V1.2 are planned to be free while real merchant use is validated. Pricing after V1.2 is undecided, and no price on this site is a commitment.
Does creating a draft order mean the customer has been charged?
No. A Shopify draft order is not a paid order. Invoicing, payment terms, taxes, shipping and the conversion into a final order continue in Shopify under the merchant's own settings. Kaupvik does not send invoices or collect payment.
Next step
These terms will be finalised before launch.
