Before opening Checkout
The buyer must be signed in and assigned to the selected Shopify company location. Review products to see that location's catalog price and item status. Every line must be Ready before the Cart action is available.
Kaupvik creates a Cart with the location identity, then verifies it again after adding items. The source reference is stored as a Cart attribute so downstream order workflows can identify a Kaupvik buyer list if the buyer completes Checkout.
In Shopify Checkout
Check Ship to, currency, product variants and quantities. Shopify calculates the final tax, shipping and payment terms. A Cart is not an order; the buyer can leave Checkout without placing one.
If Kaupvik says the Cart outcome is unknown, do not blindly create another Cart. Contact support with the ticket or request reference and let the team check the idempotency record. Testing should stop before order submission.
